Archaeological Site at Agia Triada, Chrysomilia
On the slopes of the Agia Triada hill in Chrysomilia lies an archaeological site with scattered ancient architectural members. Specifically, a rectangular building with isodomic masonry of white marble on a foundation of schist. The construction and location indicate a Hellenistic tower, similar to Drakanos on Ikaria. North of Agia Triada, the apse of the sanctuary and the paved floor of an earlier church survive, while spolia from the older building were used in the door jambs. It is thought to have been a temple dedicated to Poseidon with a cult altar in his honor.
