Chios
Glaroi
Seagulls Beach (Paralia ton Glaron), just 7 km northeast of Chios town, between Vrontados and Sykiada, is a small cove of unique natural beauty. It formed naturally after an old quarry ceased operating, with the sea shaping an impressive inlet of turquoise, cool waters fed by a freshwater spring. Its name comes from the gulls that find shelter there in winter. The sand and the white mountain rising behind it give the beach an exotic look, while its wild, natural beauty enchants every visitor. In summer the beach comes alive with umbrellas, loungers, and a beach bar, where concerts and summer parties are often organized, making it one of the island’s most popular and vibrant recreation spots.
