Agia Kyriaki Thermal Springs

On the east side of Ikaria, near the airport and the settlement of Faros, are the hot springs of Agia Kyriaki. The water bubbles up from the sea at a temperature of about 37°C and is classified as warm, hypertonic, and moderately radioactive, with therapeutic properties. Ruins of ancient baths survive in the area, as well as a small construction that allows visitors to enjoy bathing in the open air. Access is easy via the main road, and basic amenities have been installed near the spring by the local association. Although it belongs to the Hellenic Tourism Organization (E.O.T.), the spring has not yet been developed in an organized way and remains freely accessible to the public.
