Eftalou Thermal Springs

The hot spring of Eftalou, on the north coast of Lesvos just 3.5 km from Mythimna, is one of the island’s most distinctive spa destinations. Its water bubbles up from lava fissures at sea level, while part of it derives from seawater, creating a distinctive natural composition. Its temperature ranges from 43.6°C to 46.5°C, depending on the season, and the facilities include a communal pool and seven individual bathtubs. Eftalou’s springs are among the few in Greece where mixed bathing is allowed, making them unique. Their location, with the sandy shore and endless sea horizon, provides a magical setting for relaxation. The therapeutic waters are indicated for various conditions such as rheumatism, arthritis, lumbago, neuralgia, gynecological and dermatological problems, offering relief and wellness to visitors.
