Sailing

On the endless blue of the Icarian Sea, sailing is a favorite activity, especially in summer, with ideal conditions for sailors of all levels. Besides regattas held offshore or using Ikaria as an intermediate stop, visitors can berth their own sailboats at the island’s two main marinas: Agios Kirykos Marina in the south and Manganitis Marina on the north side. In addition, there are smaller harbors and natural anchorages, such as at Karkinagri and Yalos, offering shelter from winds and picturesque views. In this way, sailors can enjoy Ikaria’s unique natural beauty, exploring hidden beaches and scenic coves.
