Church of the Annunciation

The Holy Church of the Evangelistria is in the northeast of Fourni Korseon, near the area of Koumara, characterized by rich vegetation of pines and strawberry trees. It is the oldest surviving chapel on the island, dating to the late 18th century. Its construction is attributed to Hieromonk Niphon and it is an important example of the period’s religious architecture, harmoniously embedded in the area’s natural environment.
