Kariotiko

Kariotiko Beach lies on Thymaina’s north side and is an extensive shore with considerable length and width. Large tamarisks line the coastline, offering natural shade during summer. Access is exclusively via hiking paths, which are adequately marked with red paint and mountaineering cairns, aiding visitors’ orientation. Entry into the sea is from a section with large cobbles and stones, while the beach’s exposure to northwesterly winds often leads to accumulations of drift material, such as logs and timber, along the shore.
