Manolates

Manolates is one of the most picturesque mountain villages of northern Samos, built at 370 meters on the slopes of Mount Ambelos (Karbounis), just 4 km from Agios Konstantinos, with panoramic views of the Asia Minor coast. It is a traditional village with cobbled lanes, well‑kept colorful houses, and lush greenery that combines natural beauty with local architecture. The village has workshops for ceramics, weaving, handmade jewelry, and other traditional products, while residents are mainly engaged in viticulture, olive oil production, and fruit growing. Notable sights include the marble fountain in the central square and the church of Zoodochos Pigi, where the traditional fair is held every year on Bright Friday. The area is ideal for hiking and exploring natural beauty along waymarked trails, while the local gastronomy and wine production make Manolates one of the most interesting destinations for visitors seeking tradition, nature, and an authentic Samos experience.
