Petra

On the north coast of Lesvos lies Petra Beach, with its long sandy shore and clear waters. There is sporadic tamarisk vegetation along the beach. It boasts a broad, golden sandy expanse and is one of the island’s best-organized beaches, with umbrellas, sunbeds, tavernas, cafés, a playground, and souvenir shops. Petra Beach is suitable for abundant water and sports activity, as there are nearby volleyball courts and a diving and sports equipment rental center. It offers lively fun all day and is also suitable for family holidays. It has also been awarded the Blue Flag. To the north, 200 m from the swimming shore, there is a breakwater and a mooring area for small boats.
