Panagia Kryfti

Panagia Kryfthí lies west of Melinta, about 3 km from Melinta and 10 km from Plomari. The area is famed for its wild beauty: sheer cliffs, blue-green waters, and a distinct sense of seclusion. Warm, therapeutic waters bubble at the foot of the rocks and mix with the sea, creating a unique experience for swimmers. The waters are deep and clear, suitable for snorkeling. The little chapel is built into the cave, giving it a mystical character. The marine area around Panagia Kryfthí is part of the Lesvos UNESCO Global Geopark due to its geological features and hot springs.
