Petrokopio

Petrokopio Beach, on the southwest side of Fourni Korseon, is one of the island’s most impressive beaches. Its pebbly shore and clear turquoise waters are framed by almost vertical white cliffs, while two large rocks reach to the sea and divide the beach into three smaller coves. Traces of an ancient quarry survive in the area, attesting to its operation in antiquity and underscoring the site’s historical importance. The beach is accessible either by path or by caique, and there are no facilities or natural shade, making preparation necessary for a stay on the shore.
