Skala Eresou

Skala Eresou Beach lies in the southwest of the island, stretches for 3 km, and is considered one of the most beautiful on Lesvos. It is covered with fine, gray, coarse sand, while its ends are rocky. Its waters are calm, as it is sheltered from the Aegean meltemi winds. Visitors have a wealth of choices, with quaint tavernas, cafés, and bars just a breath from the shore. It also has umbrellas and sunbeds and is ideal for water sports (pedalos, sailing, canoe), while there is a designated area for volleyball. West of the beach is a small lake full of turtles. Skala Eresou Beach has been awarded the Blue Flag many times and has been deemed by the EU the cleanest and best-maintained beach in all of Greece.
