Seychelles

Seychelles Beach, in southwest Ikaria, is 25 km from Agios Kirykos and is considered the island’s most beautiful and famous beach. It came into being by chance in 1985, when a rockslide during the opening of a tunnel revealed the striking cove. The transparent turquoise waters, white sand, fine pebbles, and sheer granite rocks surrounding it, together with hidden underwater caves, create an exotic landscape ideal for diving, exploration, and cliff-jumping. The beach is unorganized, so visitors should come prepared. Access is either by boat or on foot via a relatively rough downhill path of 7–10 minutes from an open-air parking area on the main road. Seychelles is a favorite destination for couples and young people, especially in summer.
