Tarti

At the foot of a verdant hill, 34 km southwest of the city of Mytilene, lies the popular Tarti Beach. Both the coastal zone and the seabed are covered with sand mixed with pebbles. It is a beautiful small beach with a wide, pristine sandy shore, ideal for fishing. There is sporadic tamarisk vegetation along the beach. It is an organized beach, with changing rooms, umbrellas, sunbeds, showers, bins and litter baskets, as well as a lifeguard station. Close to the shore there are rooms to let and refreshment stands, while one can enjoy fresh fish and seafood, served abundantly in the picturesque nearby fish tavernas.
