With its variety of geosites, Lesvos offers unique opportunities for climbing in impressive landscapes. One of the best-known spots is Man’ Katsa Waterfall near Mantamados, where 15–20 m rock faces create a natural training field amid lush surroundings. Access is via dirt road and then a signed path leading to the “Man’ Katsa Pit.” Equally significant is Panagia Kryfthí, 10 km from Plomari, where an organized climbing crag with 26 routes of varying difficulty operates. Climbing on the island is arranged by appointment, offering those who choose it a unique way to connect with the nature and adventure of Lesvos.
