Psara Holocaust Memorial Events

The crowning glory of the cultural events in Psara are the events of remembrance and honor of the Psara Holocaust, organized every year, at the end of June, by the Municipality of Heroic Island of Psara.
According to the municipality's planning, various events are held on this day, such as a concert by the Psara choir, dance performances by sections of Cultural Associations, a torchlight procession, memorial prayers and a tribute with the participation of the Navy. Of course, the events include the presentation of the Holocaust chronicle, the screening of a historical documentary and the reenactment of the explosion of the powder magazine with the simultaneous release of fireworks.
